CCIG Promotes Jacob Cook to CFO

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, COLO. –  CCIG, one of the nation’s leading business insurance brokerages, has promoted Jacob Cook to Chief Financial Officer.

Cook, who has been CCIG’s controller since 2015, will focus on the firm’s long-term strategic financial planning, analysis, accounting, internal audit and regulatory reporting. He also will be responsible for the company’s relationships with commercial banks.

“Jacob has done a tremendous job of driving CCIG to be even more efficient and leverage what makes us unique as we continue to expand,” CCIG CEO Brook Mahoney said. “I’m happy to have Jacob’s leadership and expertise on our team.”

CCIG has doubled its workforce in the past five years, growing at an average rate of 15% a year and now employs 95 insurance professionals.

A 1998 graduate of the University of Wyoming, Cook joined CCIG with nearly 20 years of accounting experience, including nearly a decade in the banking industry with both privately and publicly held institutions in Denver.

CCIG helps its clients manage their long-term cost of risk, creating risk management and insurance programs to protect their business and personal assets. The brokerage has been repeatedly recognized as a Best Practices Agency, an award from the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America.
