CCIG Wins Wellness Award (Once Again!)

CCIG takes the health and wellness of our employees seriously, which may help explain why our insurance brokerage just won the Pinnacol Assurance Worksite Wellness award for the second time in a row.

Winning the January-June contest means our program receives another $2,000 award and that each participant receives $100.

Better yet, it means that our participants – over two-thirds of our staff – are doing all they can to get and stay healthy.

One of the events that CCIG employees took part in was the Virgin Pulse Great Wall Challenge, a contest based on how many steps they took.

With a total of 1.3 million steps recorded between May 18-31, our Jeff Parent, Norman Schultz, Tristin Rosen and Derrick Leiting placed fourth out of 146 teams nationwide.

Other highlights from the period:

  • CCIG employees took a total of 24,586,114 steps between January and June, or an average of 7,350 steps per day.
  • They earned 462,230 points, or an average of 7,578 per member.

Here’s a quick rundown of how the program works:

  • Winning policyholders must commit to using the incentive to promote wellness within their organization.
  • Policyholders compete against other policyholders of a similar size.
  • Twice a year, the top eight point-earners in each size category each receive an incentive.
