Longtime CCIG client Swingle Lawn, Tree and Landscape Care has won an award from the state for its exemplary track record of workplace safety.
Based in Denver, Swingle was one of just seven companies this year to win the Employer Safety Award from the workers’ compensation division of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.
The award is part of the state’s Premium Cost Containment Program, which helps employers find ways to control workforce injuries and insurance-related costs.
Swingle, a CCIG customer for more than two decades, became certified in the program in 1992. Certified employers are eligible for a 5% reduction in workers’ compensation premiums. Now in its 25th year, the Premium Cost Containment Program has reduced insurance premiums by almost $290 million. More than 6,000 employers have been certified in the program.
The Workplace Safety Awards were announced at a reception at the Governor’s Executive Residence.
Congratulations to Swingle CEO Thomas R. Tolkacz and everyone else on the Swingle team!
