GREENWOOD VILLAGE, COLO. – T. Scott Kennedy, the president and COO of CCIG, has won a 2018 C-Suite Award from the Denver Business Journal.
CCIG, one of the nation’s leading business insurance brokerages, has seen its sales grow over 700%, exceeding $100 million, in the years since Kennedy joined the firm in 2004.
The brokerage, which employs 95 insurance professionals, also has won repeated Best Places to Work and Top Workplace awards and has been repeatedly recognized as a Best Practices Agency by the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America.
“Scott exemplifies exceptional strategic vision, strong and innovative leadership skills, relentless commitment to his work and a passion for giving back to the community,” CCIG CEO Brook Mahoney said.
“Scott also has been instrumental in implementing the ideals of ‘servant leadership’ in our business, putting the needs of others first and helping employees to develop and perform to their highest potential,” he said.
Kennedy also has poured a lot of his energy into a number of civic organizations, including serving on the board of the Special Olympics of Colorado.
The C-Suite Awards honor the Denver region’s top chief operating officers and other C-level executives. Nominees were judged on individual and organizational accomplishments, community involvement, contributions to management and innovation within their fields, among other factors.
A reception in honor of the winners is planned for Sept. 25 at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts’ Seawell Ballroom.
