Insurance Sales/Advisor - P & C

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for growing a successful enterprise by helping business owners manage their long-term cost of risk and earning the opportunity to become their insurance advisor. Successful candidates have previous sales experience with a demonstrated ability to convert relationships into long-term clients. Excellent phone skills, presentation acumen, relationship development experience, strong attention to detail, and networking skills are all required.[AG1] [MB2] Candidates with the right skills and talents can build a successful future for themselves while building life-long relationships with clients across Colorado.

Essential Duties:

· Develops and acquires new business revenue through sales to new and existing clients with emphasis on mid-size companies.

· Prepares and implements an individual business plan annually.

· Provides service to clients according to their needs, retaining them as clients.

· Participates in team sales situations with other Advisors and support personnel.

Senior Account Manager - Commercial Lines


  • Develop and maintain proactive communications with clients, producers and insurance company underwriters. Act as the primary contact for general insurance questions and policy changes.
  • Participate in developing marketing strategy for renewals and new accounts. Take primary responsibility for marketing accounts to include:
  • Gather and organize appropriate information required to market account
  • Follow-up with underwriters for quotes
  • Compare quotes for coverage, limits and pricing

Personal Lines – Account Manager


Responsible for managing the service provided to assigned personal insurance clients to assure profitability and a high level of retention. Some personal lines new business production is expected.

Community Involvement

CCIG is involved and committed to the greater community. Sound corporate citizenship allows our employees to channel their talents and resources toward worthy causes and become invested in the community where we live and work.

Our Volunteer Committee plans events throughout the year to give employees good options to serve, volunteer and help worthy charitable organizations. Examples include organizing food drives, supplying food and services to the homeless, providing support for veterans, and organizing fundraising events for worthwhile causes.

CCIG team members volunteered at the GrowHaus, a nonprofit indoor farm in Denver's Elyria-Swansea neighborhood. Its vision? To develop and nurture a neighborhood-based food system in the community that is healthy, equitable and resident-driven.
CCIG team members regularly help out at Metro Caring, one of metro Denver's leading hunger-relief organizations.
CCIG associates volunteered this year at Project Angel Heart, an organization that, with the help of thousands of volunteers, delivers five nutritious meals to about 1,100 people fighting life-threatening diseases every week.
Team CCIG turned out in big numbers for the 2017 Komen Colorado Race for the Cure.
The CCIG team, working with the Denver Rescue Mission, delivered 60 turkeys to help bring Thanksgiving into the homes of people in need. The rescue mission partners with more than 100 companies each year to distribute more than 2,500 meals during the holiday.
CCIG team members helping out at Freedom Service Dogs, a nonprofit that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by rescuing dogs and custom-training them for individual client needs.
CCIG CEO Brook Mahoney working construction at Habitat for Humanity’s CEO Build in October 2015. Brook joined other metro Denver leaders -- including Denver Broncos CEO Joe Ellis -- at the build.
CCIG team members wrap Christmas presents for a family in need during the holidays. CCIG staffers donated money and gifts as part of the Adopt-A-Family program.
